RevieWatches is a small, independent site run by one person. It publishes informational articles about watches, not product tests. This page explains exactly how our articles are made, so you can decide how much weight to give them.

Our articles are informational and research-based

Unless an article clearly says otherwise, we have not owned, worn or handled the watch we write about. We do not test watches. Our articles and guides collect and explain information from:

• manufacturer specifications and official documentation;
• published reviews from established watch and technology publications;
• owner feedback in public forums and communities, where a point is widely and consistently reported;
• current retail and pre-owned prices;
• auction results and reference literature for vintage pieces.

Every article shows a short "About this article" note. If we ever write about a watch we have physically handled, the article will say so, and will say how long we had it and whether it was a loan.

We are watch enthusiasts, not professional journalists or watchmakers. Where an article gives an opinion, it is our personal view based on the sources above, and it is not buying advice.

No scores or ratings

We do not give watches scores, star ratings or verdicts of our own, because we do not test them. Each article instead summarises the key facts and what published reviews and owners commonly praise or criticise, so you can reach your own view.

Use of AI tools

We use AI writing tools to help research, draft and edit articles. They make mistakes, so we check the facts, figures, prices and specifications in each article against the sources above before and after publishing. We remove claims we cannot support. We never use them to invent experiences, quotes, testimonials or reviews.

Independence

• No paid coverage. Nobody can pay for an article, a mention, a place in a list or an "Editor's Choice" badge.
• Advertising is separate. The site is funded by Google ads, which we do not choose article by article.
• Affiliate links. Some articles may contain links that earn us a commission. They never affect what we write and are always disclosed. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
• Samples and loans. If a brand ever sends us a watch, the article will say so clearly, say whether we kept it or returned it, and remain our own view.
• No conflicts. We do not work for, or hold shares in, the brands we cover.

Accuracy, dates and corrections

Articles show when they were published. Prices and specifications change, so we revisit important articles and update them when they are out of date. If you spot an error, email [email protected]. We check every report and correct verified mistakes promptly.

Images

Article photos are licensed stock images (for example from Unsplash, Pexels or Pixabay) and are credited under each image. They may show a similar model rather than the exact watch discussed. Some featured images are our own graphics, credited "RevieWatches graphic". We do not present stock images as our own photography.
