Two Businesses, One Name

The genuine Reverie website, reveriewatches.com, was registered in October 2014, the year the brand started. The Singapore company has been covered by established watch publications such as aBlogtoWatch and by microbrand reviewers since 2016.

The other Reverie is something else entirely. When we checked on 24 September 2026, both reveriewatches.net and watchesreverie.com redirected to a site with the page title "High Quality Super Clone Watches - Reverie Replica". Its menus list replica versions of Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Hublot and Omega models. The reveriewatches.net domain was registered in September 2024. Its Trustpilot profile describes the business as selling "super clone watches" and showed only four reviews.

We are not linking to the replica site. Replica watches are counterfeits of trademarked designs, and customs authorities in the US, the UK and the EU can seize counterfeit goods. Buying one also means sending money to a business that, by its own description, copies other companies' products. If a "Reverie" site is selling Rolex or Patek designs, it is not the Singapore microbrand.

The Real Reverie: Who Is Behind It

Reverie was founded in Singapore by Samuel Tay, a lawyer by training, who set out to build his own "dream watch". The brand's identity rests on two things: guilloché dials, which use engraved patterns to create depth and play with light, and small limited editions that often sell out. Reverie uses Japanese automatic movements, mostly from Miyota, which keeps prices accessible.

The Main Reverie Models

Sea Spirit

Reverie's first watch, reviewed by aBlogtoWatch in October 2016, has a 41mm case in 316L stainless steel with 22mm lugs, sapphire crystals front and back, 100m of water resistance and a Miyota 8218 automatic movement with about 40 hours of power reserve. It was made in two dial colours, Anchor Black and Deep Blue, limited to 125 pieces each, and priced at $420. The reviewer's favourite feature was the guilloché dial. The main criticism was that the small run made the watch hard to get for people discovering the brand later.

Classic

The second collection, reviewed by Microbrand Watch World in 2017, is a cushion-cased dress watch: 41mm wide, 12.5mm thick and 47mm from lug to lug, with 22mm lugs. It uses a Miyota 8200-series automatic movement running at 21,600 vibrations per hour with about 42 hours of reserve, and shows the day and date in English or Spanish. It came with a domed sapphire crystal, two leather straps with quick-release spring bars and a one-year international warranty. It was limited to 250 pieces at $400. The design follows a philosophy the brand calls "Shibui", a Japanese idea of simplicity with subtle detail.

Diver

The Reverie Diver, launched through Kickstarter at under $350, is compact: 40mm across, 43mm from lug to lug and 12mm thick, which makes it a good fit for small and medium wrists. It uses the Miyota 9039 automatic, a flat sapphire crystal and a steel bezel with a lumed triangle, and it came in Navy Blue, Moss Green, Warm Grey and Burgundy dials. Beans & Bezels, reviewing a prototype, praised the bezel action and the strong lume but noted a slightly misaligned bezel, some minor finishing flaws under magnification, and the audible rotor noise of the Miyota 9039.

Reverie has also released a model called the GT. We could not confirm the brand's current releases for this article, and its limited editions tend to sell out, so many buyers look on the second-hand market, including Singapore marketplaces such as Carousell.
